Painting process
This small painting, which features three main elements, is part of an old series that I decided to completely transform. Revisiting one's own work is an exercise that generates diverse, often conflicting feelings. In this case, my dissatisfaction with the emptiness of the previous image made me want to move closer to a figuration essay. So using parts of the old layers of paint, the following emerges: a chair, a rectangular shape, and an interconnected vase. These representations are a summary of my visual vocabulary. And they serve, in the context of my pictorial research, as containers. The rectangular shape is the link between them and offers the viewer multiple interpretations.
