Painting process and great news
"À Table", 50x50 cm - acrylic paint, crayon and oil stick on wood panel
This painting is part of a new series where I flirt with figuration and make my visual vocabulary explicit. A stylized chair, or a chair behind a table, is the main element and is centralized in the painting. This chair/table is contained within a blue diamond that is also a stylized table. I keep exploring the idea of container, content and receiving as concepts in my research, but in this painting I did not use the ceramic shapes that have been repeated in my last works. Here the central element is positioned on three triangular pillars and radiates out of the pictorial space in other directions. Color is very strong in the painting and the coolest thing is that this painting was pre-selected (and two others) for the 51ème Salon des Arts de Vaucresson, which will take place from October 8 to 16 at the Centre Culturel Montgolfière and will show the work of more than 50 artists.
