My top 5 Design Blogs and why I suggest you to start following them right now
Hello!
I have this daily habit to check my feed reader and find out what's new in my favorite design blogs. Some of them I've been reading for more than 10 years! They're an incredible source of inspiration and keep me up about what's happening in Art, Architecture, Design, Home Décor, Objects, Travels, Cinema, Technology, Lifestyle... So, the feeds that I normally follow have a little bit of everything and that's why I'm sure they will make you very well informed, I promise!
Here they are:
Design Milk: This is my favorite one. I've been following the founder Jamie Derringer for many, many years. I love her taste. The quality of the content they post is really amazing. They're so successful that they have two other sites, Dog Milk dedicated to dogs and Adorn Milk, a modern jewelry design marketplace, unfortunately they don't ship globally yet. Design Milk's Instagram account counts more 2,2 million followers! UPDATE: they have a nice shop now and they’re shipping internationally! YAY!
Dezeen: They're much more Architecture oriented than DM and, because of that, they're are one of the most respected online media platforms in Architecture and Technology and they also have an Annual Awards. They're content is just so very well curated and they have a design e-shop too.
Swissmiss: "Swissmiss is a design blog run by Tina Roth Eisenberg. Besides swissmiss, she founded and runs Tattly, CreativeMornings , TeuxDeux and her Brooklyn based co-working space Friends (formerly Studiomates)." Swissmiss headline is pretty clear and this is another blog that I've been following since its beginnings. I also love the quotes she posts.
Fubiz: French online media in the market for 13 years now, Fubiz launched a French Talent Agency to connect brands and artists. This media mainly works as an online content aggregator. They have annual event called Fubiz Talks which is really interesting for creatives. I had the chance to attend last year.
Fast Company CO.DESIGN: "is a daily exploration of the intersection of business and design, from architecture to electronics, consumer products to fashion. Controversies are front and center here, alongside great designers speaking their minds in blog posts and comments—and plenty of eye candy." I follow this super cool feed with plenty of information in Creativity and Business.
BONUS > Creative Bloq: I just love this blog, they have many how-to's, lists, guides, tutorials... Pretty much a graphic designers and Illustrators paradise! While I was writing this post I stumbled upon this really cool article. Well, let me know what kind of list do you like. I have few in mind...
